George Landry was the last child born on February 6, 1948 to the late James and Alma Landry in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He departed this life on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Baton Rouge General– Bluebonnet.
George attend the East Baton Rouge Parish Schools. He was a self employed Brick layer and a Jack of all trades.
George loved to fish, he would spend all day sitting on the pond waiting on a fish to bite, but he would make it home at 4:00 just to watch “The Young and the Restless” and did not want to be disturbed. He loved his family dearly.
George leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Annie Mae Landry; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Landry; his devoted niece, Tammy Franklin; his devoted nephew, Roosevelt Landry, Jr. (Ro) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins an friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alma Landry; his brothers, Alfred Williams, Sr., Roosevelt & O’Neal Landry; a brother-in-law, Manuel Franklin and sister-in-law whom he loved dearly, Beulah Mae Dorsey Williams.
