Carolyn Ann (Bergeron) Harleaux

Carolyn Ann Harleaux, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on November 26, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on March 13, 1942, in New Roads, LA, to parents Luther ‘Nangee’ and Celina ‘Nina’ Bergeron.

She attended and graduated from Rosenwald High School in New Roads, LA. While in High School she met Cecil Harleaux, Sr. and on April 20, 1963 they were married in New Roads, LA.  Carolyn Harleaux exhibited compassion, kindness, and resolve to all she encountered. All she set her hands to she excelled in, including; seamstress, ceramics, flower arrangements, cooking, and interior decorating. She was the ultimate entrepreneur.

Monday, December 1, 2024, Visitation/Rosary at St. Francis Chapel, 10364 Pointe Coupee Road, from 9;00 am-10:00 am with Catholic Mass and Interment from 10am-11am to follow at St. Francis Chapel cemetery.. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Cecil Harleaux, Sr., Son, Cecil Harleaux, Jr (Noreen)., Daughter, Melanie Harleaux-Thierry( Carl, Sr), Grandson, Carl L..Thierry, Jr (Cora), Granddaughter, Meagan Thierry, Great-grand children: Collyns, Jax and Jace Thierry.

Carolyn is survived by her brothers and sister: Rose Fabre (Jason) of New Roads; three brothers: Curtis Bergeron, Sr. (Irma) of Baton Rouge, Robert Bergeron, Sr. (Gladys) of New Roads, and Andrew Bergeron (Rhonda) of Baton Rouge; plus many cousins, family and friends.
