Chemiss Maqurise Parker, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, transitioned his life at the early age of 21, on May 1, 2019. He was baptized at an early age by Rev. Robert Smith of St. James Baptist Church. Chemiss is a graduate of Mentorship Academy Class of 2016.
Chemiss was a wonderful father and son, devoted brother, and loved and cherished his family and friends. Chemiss was developing as a man, employed with Family Dollar, choosing a career path, and looking forward to providing, overwhelmingly, for his family. Chemiss had aspirations of being an entrepreneur.
Chemiss leaves to cherish his memoires: his mom, LuTonya Selders; father, Shawn Parker (Hope); a son, Mi'king Parker; two sisters, Jamyiria Genoni and Shamira Parker; three brothers, Deondre Selders, Deshawn Parker and Keshawn Parker; two aunts, Reshella Selders and Vinnie Selders; five uncles, Johnny Selders, Gradis Selders, Terry Selders, Gary Selders, and Robert Lockett; a devoted girlfriend, Aneisha Louis and other relatives and friends.
Chemiss was preceded in death by one brother, Shawndre Selders; maternal grandmother, Louise Selders; paternal grandparents, Edith Ann Parker and Frank Colbert; maternal great grandparents, Bessie May Muse and Alfred Muse, Sr.; and paternal great grandparents, Ethel Mae Parker and George Parker Sr.
