Denise Marchell "Big Dee" Hutcherson peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, January 30, 2026. Big Dee was joy in human form. From her bubbly personality to her contagious laughter, she had a way of lighting up every room she walked into. Kind, generous, and full of love, she was a natural-born giver, always ready to help, encourage, or share a little "big money" if it meant making someone else's day better.
She was truly the life of the party. Big Dee laughed loud, loved hard, and never met a stranger. She would flash that smile and say, "Just call me Big Dee," instantly making everyone feel like family. She always had something good to say about people and believed deeply in treating everyone with kindness. If people lived even halfway the way she lived, with joy, compassion, and a giving heart, the world would be a whole lot brighter. Big Dee took great pride in her home, which she shared with her beloved husband, Clyde, whom she affectionately called "Lovie." She kept it spotless, welcoming, and beautifully decorated, a true reflection of the care, warmth, and love she brought into every part of her life.
She enjoyed life to the fullest. Big Dee loved the casino, playing cards, shopping until the stores closed, dancing, and simply having a good time. She loved being surrounded by family, especially her siblings, nieces, nephews, and loved ones who brought her so much happiness. She also loved going to church and sharing her faith, her joy, and her warmth with everyone she met. As a cashier, Big Dee brightened the days of countless customers with her smile, humor, and kindness. Folks used to say she could count money with her eyes closed, and knowing Big Dee, that was probably true. Whether at work or in everyday life, she always left people feeling better than when they arrived.
