Estelle (Davis) Sims

Estelle Sims departed this life on Friday, December 6, 2019 at her residence at the age of 70. Ms. Sims was a native of Woodville, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was the wife of the late Larry Sims.  Daughter of the late John and Esquena Davis.  Mother of Sylvia D. and Larry Sims, Jr. Sister of Shirley Washington (Wilbert), Daisy Davis, Johnnie Davis (Barbara), Ruby Jackson (Michael), Peter Davis (Cassandra), Jimmy Davis (Lisa), Charles Davis (fiance´ Clara), Ted Davis, Jimmie Davis (Sandra) and Frank Davis (Sandra). She is survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her husband and 2 grandchildren Chandra and Melvin Sims, and siblings David and Goldie Davis.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Allen Chapel A.M.E Church are invited to attend a funeral service at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, 6175 Scenic Hwy. BRLA on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 8:00AM Interment: Mount Pilgrim Cemetery, Scotlandville, LA.
