Gloria Franklin– Johnson, affectionately known as “Glo” was born on February 28, 1951, to the union of Manuel and Mary Franklin in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she resided. Gloria went to find rest in the Father’s arms on February 20, 2020; she was 68 years old.
Gloria was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Missionary Full Gospel Baptist Church. She was a very loving, caring and devoted mother, auntie and prayer warrior. She touched the hearts of those who knew her with her kind and beautiful spirit.
Mourning her departure, yet cherishing her memories, she leaves her sisters, Ethel Vincent, Emma Camel, Betty Milton, and Carol Samuel; her sisters-in-law, Christine Franklin and Annie Mae Franklin; brothers-in-law, George Cummings, Junies Brown and John Milton, and a host of relatives and friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Manuel Franklin; a son, Rondle Franklin; her sisters, Annie Jones, Lillie Cummings, Louida Brown, Alice Smith, Joyce Mullens, Mary Franklin, Matlean Burns, and Marion Franklin Holiday; and her brothers, Joseph Franklin, Manuel Franklin, Jr. and Andrew Franklin.
