Herman Paul Welch, Jr “Geese”, was born January 10, 1967 to Velma Thomas Williams and the late Herman Paul Welch, Sr. He was affectionally called “Geese” by most of his family. He received Jesus as his personal Savior, being baptized at an early age. He recently join the McKowen Baptist Church. He was a caring father, a loving son and an adored brother.Herman worked many years for the East Baton Rouge City Parish Public Works Department. He loved working asa mechanic and continued to do so until his passing. Herman was known to many as the person who would come through when you needed him most. Anything anyone needed of him he was always eager to lend a helping hand. He loved 4shing and most of all spending time with his family.He leaves to treasure his memories his loving mother, Velma Williams; two sisters, Malinda Brown (Allen) Crystal Reed (Briley); two brothers, Theodis Brown (Carla), and Mark Welch (Lolita); twelve children, Hermeisha Alexander, Jamica Cobbins, Braylon Welch, Herman Welch, III, Hermani Welch, Jaylon Welch, Keonta Welch, Malik Welch, Travis Welch, Yasmine Welch, ZaylonWelch, and Alexus Williams; four Grandchildren, Aubrey Kelly, Jared Smith, Jr. Jaren Smith, and Jyren Smith. Preceded in death by Father, Herman Welch, Sr., Maternal Grandparents Wilbert, Sr. and Velma Thomas and Paternal Grandparents Charles, Sr. and Laura Welch; Sister Deloris Welch, and son Keonta Welch.
