James Earl Wilson entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2024. On August 12, 1949, James Earl Wilson was born to Ester Mae Reddick and Jamie D. Wilson. To those who were closest to James Earl, they called him Jake or Jame-Url. The name Jame-Url was given to him by his baby sister Diane! James Earl was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi and later in life he moved to New Orleans, La. He was educated at Dunn Elementary School and George Washington Carver.
James Earl Wilson was blessed with his first child, David Enclarde. Years later he would meet and fall head over heels in love with his life-partner, Athena Smith. He immediately stepped in to help raise and co-parent Nyla Cyprian. Then together, they would have Ashly, Lorenzo, Latasha, Jasmine, and Sheena Smith.
As time went on, James Earl spent his time being a Master Handy Man by trade. He was well known in New Orleans for building homes and doing major and minor mechanical work. James Earl had a love for golfing and if his siblings were ever in town, he would sit around eating fish, playing dominions, and talking trash. But his real love was fishing. James Earl and his best friend Eric Cormier bought a small boat together and spent many weekends fishing and enjoying the water. James Earl will always be remembered for his passion to help any and every one he could.
