Joycelyn L. Thomas was affectionally known as
“Joyce” was born June 21,1961 to the late Earl and
Delphine Thomas. She departed life at the age of
63.On Saturday May 24,2025 the lord called his
child home. Joycelyn accepted Christ at an early
age and was baptized under the leadership of the
late Pastor George R. Clark at First Emmanuel
Missionary Baptist Church, where she was member
until her health failed. She was a graduate of
Mckinley High School and attended Delta College.
She was a CNA and homemaker. She loved caring
for her family ,kids, grand and great grandkids.
Joycelyn leaves to cherish two children,Shenekia
Alford, Joseph Thomas both of Baton Rouge, La.
Eight grandchildren ,Ten great-grand children, Two
sisters Rosalind ,Carla one brother Ronald Thomas
all of Baton Rouge, LA. One Aunt Mary White, One
Uncle Alvin Thomas both of Baton Rouge, La. Two
special friends Gwendolyn Kelly, Sandra Bordelon.
Bonus daughter Nakia Joseph, and a host of nieces
,nephews ,other relatives. Joycelyn is proceeded in
death by both parents Earl and Delphine Thomas,
brother Kendell Robinson Sr. ,sister Sandra Hicks,
grandson Joseph Coleman, aunts, uncles ,and
nephew.
