Keisha Lathan transcended on Friday, March 15,2024. Keisha was born June 21, 1977, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the union of the late Jeffery Edwards Sr. and Alethea Edwards. She accepted Christ early in life and was a dedicated member at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1996.
Keisha Lathan enjoyed singing, visiting with the elderly and the sick and shut in. Keisha also enjoyed watching The Bold and Beautiful at 12:30pm sharp on weekdays, but most of all she was a protector of her nieces and nephews. One of her favorite moments was a family trip to Gatlilnburg, TN where she laughed, sang and danced with her family. Keisha loved to sing and her favorite artist was the late Gerald Levert.
Keisha leaves to cherish her loving memories, Husband Kevin Lathan, Mother Alethea Edwards, three brothers; Antonio Carter, Jeffery Edwards Jr.(Sharita), and Jamond Edwards; four sisters; Chanel Collins, Yolanda Wallace(Jacques), Shuntell Pool(Mieyoshi), and Shamara Williams (Renaldo); four godsons; Charles Hills Jr., Christopher Laverne, Austin Wells, and Donovan Williams Jr., A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jeffery Edwards Sr., Godmother, Shelia Banks, paternal grandmother, Joyce Edwards, paternal grandfather, Revel Domino, maternal grandmother; Pricilla Faye Carter-Thomas, two maternal grandfathers; John L. Thomas, and Raul Neal Sr., mother in law; Helen Lathan, and father in law; Robert Lathan, four uncles; June Edwards, Leon Edwards, Ronnie Neal, and Noel Neal, two aunts; Carol McQuairter and Jackie Neal.
