LeRoy "Lee" Thompson was born October 18, 1975 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Rebecca Thompson and Leroy White.
LeRoy began his christian walk as a young man, being baptized at New Zion Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
LeRoy attended Tara High School in Baton rouge, before deciding this traditional education path was not for him. He went on to join Job Corp; he relocated to Arkansas and obtained his General Equivalency Diploma in 1986.
LeRoy was quite an intelligent young man and loved a good challenge. Anything that provided him information and knowledge, he seemed to soak it up like a sponge and would elaborate for hours on the subject, if he even found an audience of one.
To know LeRoy is to know how much he enjoyed life, he possessed a playful and cheerful spirit. Always ready with a joke, a funny quip, or some hilarious story to share. Even in difficult times, he managed to find a bit of humor.
LeRoy had a kind heart, and he certainly had a passion for the plights of the homeless population. If he had just one dollar in his possession, he gladly handed it over, always believing it was the least he could do, for they needed it far more than he.
Lee is so very missed by so many.
