Marie Carter-Turner

Marie Carter Turner passed away peacefully on Saturday November 15, 2025. Up until the very end Marie maintained her spirit of fun, food, and friends. If Marie was present, it was a good time.

Marie was born to Spencer (Pete) and Evelyn Carter of Baton Rouge Louisiana on March 14, 1952. She was a graduate of Capital High School and attended both LSU and Southern University in Baton Rouge. In her 73 years she worked hard and played hard. She affected every life she encountered.

Marie leaves to mourn in her passing her children, 2 brothers, 6 grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Marie is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband James Turner, her parents Spencer (Pete) and Evelyn Carter, brother Charles Carter and sister Patricia Carter.
