Marlean Ann Jackson peacefully passed away on September 8, 2023 at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center ICU. She was born on November 26, 1979 in Baton Rouge, La., to the union of Willie and Betty Jackson, Sr. She was a 1998 graduate of Robert E Lee High School. She worked as an educator at Unitech Training Academy and was a certified Life Coach.
Marlean truly lived by her own rules. Her heart was full and it overflowed to all who knew her and even some who didn’t. No matter how Marlean was feeling or what she was facing, she always uplifted and helped others in need. She enjoyed chatting with friends and family, candle making and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Missing Marlean so much means she was extremely special, and we all are blessed and grateful to have Marlean in our lives.
Marlean leaves to cherish her memory parents Willie and Betty Jackson Sr., of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters Ethel Jackson and Chrishanta Jackson of Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers Willie Jackson, Jr. and Keith Jackson (Jessica) of Baton Rouge, La.; two aunts Gussie Armstead (Baton Rouge, La.) and Gail Shelton (El Paso, Tx.); five cousins Ronnie Shelton (Daniela) of El Paso, Tx, Michael Shelton (Ruth) of Las Vegas, Ca., Joseph Shelton of Baton Rouge, La., Jessie “Randy” Wilson (Zander) of Petersburg, Va, and Cheletta Guient of Baton Rouge, La.; two nephews O’Shea Jackson and Allen Robinson of Baton Rouge, La., two nieces JaKeithia Jackson and Cassie Coleman of Baton Rouge, La., five second cousins Ronnie “Trey” Lee Shelton III, Michael Shelton, Jr of Grand Prairie, Tx., Aaliyah Shelton of Las Vegas, NV., Sarah Shelton and London Shelton of Baton Rouge, La.; two goddaughters Italia Thibodeaux and Kayleigh Little of Baton Rouge, La., and two very close friends Dana Decuir of Slidell, La and Sherita Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge, La., and a host of family and friends.
Marlean is preceded in death by grandparents Ethel Johnson, Augusta Patin, James Johnson, Sr, Ethel Grim and Frank Grim; two uncles James Johnson, Jr and Uncle Simon Jackson and other relatives.
