Mary Henry Obituary

When a soul that we love takes flight on the wings of a
dove, we grieve... but we trust and believe there is a place
overflowing with grace where every soul is at peace and all
weeping has ceased... and when that soul looks down from
above, all they see is a legacy of love.
Mary Alice Henry was born on December 3, 1965 to the late
Mr. Clarence Henry, Sr. and Mrs. Willie D. Henry. She was
the fourth child to this union. She received her heavenly
wings peacefully on Monday, April 15th, 2024 at the Carpenter
House in Baton Rouge, La. She was baptized at an early age
and had been a devoted member and Choir President of the
Second Baptist Church of West Baton Rouge, sung on Pre
Mother’s Day Musicals with the Opelousas and Lafayette
Combined Choir, was a member of the West Baton Rouge
Mass Choir where she served faithfully before her health
began to decline.
Alice was a very loving, Christian and generous woman
who touched the souls of all she encountered especially with
her anointed singing. Alice was one that felt and stood on
what she believed and that’s what made her so special to
everyone. Alice was a New Orleans Saints fan who enjoyed
shopping, a good card game, family gatherings, and her
favorite was spending time with her grandkids!
Alice leaves to mourn her death and cherish her memories:
two sons, Trey (Taresa) Henry, Zachary, La; and Khairy
(Claire) Henry, Baton Rouge, La; her only daughter Sundai,
Baton Rouge, LA, the joys of her life, her four

Arbroth, LA. One God Sister Shirley Briscoe and a host of
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death and joined in Heaven by her parents:
