Samuel “Nick” Nicholas Jr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 8, 1951, to the late Samuel and Nellie Nicholas. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and went on to become a skilled professional carpenter, well known for his giving heart and helping hand.
Nick was also a proud bass drummer for the Wild Magnolias Uptown Mardi Gras Indians, where he carried the culture and spirit of New Orleans proudly
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gerald Nicholas. He leaves behind two children, Samuel Nicholas III and Gerald Williams; his sister, Darlene Walker; and a host of family and friends
Nick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the legacy he leaves in the lives of those he touched.
